the Louisiana seasons have closed on whats had the be the worst season i have seen in my years of chasin ducks. between the 2 splits i made roughly 10 hunts for a total of a whooping 22 birds. 12 of which were coots. how did the rest of you guys fair out

It wasn't any better up here boudreaux. I think the guys got into a few on the last weekend of season but nothing to brag about. I think it sucked everywhere else too from the reports I've heard.

Duck season was rough in California too. I hunt on properties spread out on a 200+ mile stretch of the central valley (from Los Banos in the south to Willows in the north) and there wasn't much action anywhere. The season started out pretty strong, actually, but after the first 2-3 weeks it got very quiet and stayed quiet pretty much the rest of the season. Pheasant season was even worse. The only thing that was around in good numbers were the geese.

at least things were bad everywhere. i primarily hunt the atachafalaya basin. we are in the beginning of basically an epidemic with salvidia (sp?). i was startin to think the birds were just starting to change their flyways through here

Normal bag for me local, 12-15 trips usual, 65-80 birds, this year local 15.
Sucked Sucked sucked. Tucker had the smak down rolln though.

I have been hunting southern New Jersey for the last 5 years. We have got our limit every year, but the last couple have lacked the variety of previous years. The credit goes to our guide and friend, Dennis Cassel Jr.

We had an awesome year this year in North Dakota. Lots of water this sping for an awesome hatch and lots of birds. Had trouble finding large concentrations of birds in ponds with so much water but field hunting mallards worked pretty well. Random mixed bags this year between divers and puddlers and coots everywhere but we usually don't shoot them up here, more for you guys down south. I would have figured with good conditions up north there would have been some good killing going on elsewhere.

Had a great season in sd this year. just like it was in nd lots of water and lots of birds. The field hunting this year was great. I worked in the devils lake area this summer in nd and was amazed at the amount of birds that were over there.
