I tested 9, 10, 11, 14, 15 and 16 twist rimfire barrels for accuracy about 15 years ago. Part of the test included 60g Aguila SSS ammunition. You do not need fast twists for it and accuracy suffered with the fast twist. As the twist increased so did the group size.
Lead bullets are shorter that jacketed and stability is based on length more so than weight so you do not need a fast twist for the SSS rounds.
I have shot a lot of the 60g SSS and they are generally stable in 15 twist barrels. 16 twist they tend to tumble.
T/C Contender 22lr, Standard and match, barrels are 15 twist and so do Marlin 2000 models. Early Marlin 880SQ used 2000 bull barrels with cutouts for dovetails and screw holes for front sights.
