Where is the best place to buy Eagle stuff that will be in stock? It seems everyone I call says they are on back order. I don't want to start pulling strings but I guess that is what needs to be done to get any of their products. I have been looking for one of their buttpacks to go along with my hunting pack.

Re: eagle industries

He doesn't have it listed on his website so I know he won't have any. He does pretty good with keeping his site up to date.

I can't post in the WTB section because I don't have 100 post. I thought that was opened?

This is the one I purchased. I'm happy with it FWIW.

PittsDriver,

FYI, Triad sells that same Eagle product for $35.95:

I'm not sure which buttpack is being refereed to in the OP. I think he is asking about a pack that goes on your waist (above the buttox..)

Re: eagle industries

You might check with one of the mods about your post numbers. I have read that if you were on the board before the change you are grandfathered in. Should you do this, please PM me the answer.

Re: eagle industries

Regarding posting in the WTS/WTB sections, if it allows you to post then your grandfathered in...And a big +1 for Triad.

Re: eagle industries

I am looking for a butt pack ie. attaches above your ass, not the stock pack that goes on the rifle. Thanks for all the input, I ended up calling a buddy that works at eagle industries. I try not to dip into that pot too often so I can maintain the contact.

I understand why you have to establish yourself on the board before you can post in the for sale area. Otherwise every swinging d*** will create a user name in order to sell his used pocket knife. I am slowly working my posts up so I can eventually use that section.

I usually order directly from Eagle, and in the event it is not in stock, then they ship when it's available. I've also ordered from Steve @ Triad Tactical when I didn't want to wait for Eagle.

Re: eagle industries

Hey Steve, thanks for getting my that DB-BS-MC the other day, I'm really digging it, the entire squad I was shooting with at Gunsite last weekend used it on 3/4 of the stages and everyone, including myself liked it a lot.

Question-do you have a line on the optional shoulder strap? I would love to toss it on my shoulder for humping between shooting stations.

You would have to try Eagle direct for that.

I used $1.20 worth of flat webbing tied right to the the D-rings.......

well stated....and the crux of our problem.

Re: eagle industries

ok, everyone has their stock packs and are very pleased with their purchases.

Stock packs and butt packs are different:
1. Stock pack goes on the stock of a rifle.
2. Butt pack gets positioned right around the butt of the human body.

Granted, they both are capable of holding stuff but I don't think a stock pack would see much use strapped to your back and likewise a butt pack would be awful clumsy strapped to the butt stock of a rifle.

My next step is to post a labeled picture? Regardless, I have acquired what I was looking for and am no longer searching for who has the item "in stock".
