Ear bud decision

If you go with the Axils and find the foam tips lacking, I’d recommend looking at the Comply replacements.
Otherwise, I enjoy mine. It would be better if the active sound was more on par with AirPods quality.
I mostly use them when running equipment. I’ve never used Ottos so can’t give a direct comparison.

If you have the $400 to spend the Otto’s with comply tips are simply unbeatable. Dollar for dollar I’d say they could be the best money I’ve spent on shooting just like my amp is for reloading.

I use E.A.R. Digitals that use hearing aid batteries. Son uses 3M Peltor rechargeable in the ear electrics. The 3M's have been very good for the cost. You could buy 4 for the cost of the E.A.R's. That said the E.A.R's have lasted me going on 5 years of heavy use. Shooting buddy uses Otto's. Very similiar to the 3M's, may be the same product.....they have been good as well.

I've never used in ear electronic but this deal might make me try it. I have a question about the pic below from the ad. The way they word it, does this mean you can't have hearing protection and hearing enhancement at the same time? Electronic muffs do, are these different? In other words, does it amplify sound for conversations then cancel out noise over 85db automatically or do you have to choose between one and the other? The wording is confusing -

It can/does do both simultaneously, I had a pair, liked that I could connect to bluetooth for yard use and audio seemed pretty good(better than my run of the mill walkers over ear) but personally found them very uncomfortable for myself but that's been a common issue for me with earbuds in general. And with that the foam tips they come with are quite short and for myself I wasn't getting the best seal with them.
