So after much inner turmoil, deliberation, and seeing one in person, I decided to get a Premier Heritage 3-15 for my first high end optic. I found an excellent shape used one with some rings for a pretty dang good deal and took delivery today. Scope is amazing, glass is perfect, and when I turned it over to my surprise it was SN 008. I am assuming this means it is the 8th one made and am wondering from the Premier guru's if there are any issues with the first generation of these scopes? The only think I have read was something about parallax issues if clamped in too tight but that's about it. This one has the 22 mil ST turret updated with MTC by Premier. Thanks for the input and cant wait to get this one to the range on the M24 :).

I have/had all three generations of the 3-15, and the only issue that I can think of is the early generation one scopes with the thin clamping levers. All mine had the wide levers, so I can't comment from experience, but from what I remember the thin levers didn't hold very well, thus the change to the wide levers. I think at one time Premier was upgrading these scopes for free when the scope was sent in for other service/warranty related issues.

The parallax issues with rings being too tight is common with all Premiers.

I have a new 3-15 with the ST 22-Mil turret inbound, and just hope the clicks aren't to close together, as I'm used to the standard ST and DT turrets.

Premiers are awesome scopes, and are built like a tank.

The scope I bought was not used since having the MTC turrets installed and they are very tight and it is tough to get off the fill mil mark without overshoooting I mrad. That said, after playing with it for a few days it is getting easier and I am confident that after a bit of use it will not be a problem. The rest of the clicks are close together but they are so crisp it's not a problem.

I have sn23. It came as a single turn, but i got it changed to a double turn when that option became avalible. I had problems with mushy clicks, but was sent new parts that took about 5 minutes to replace, and now it is great. Very crisp, but with no problem dialing one click past the MTC. I had a few problems with it not making ajustments at first, but i cleaned off the surfaces in contact and have not had it happen again. Last week i broke a lever, and was sent two new levers the next buisness day. I dont know if mine has the thin or wide levers, i guess ill find out when they get here. I havent had to pay a dime for any of the parts, or the DT conversion.

Btw i like the DT turret much more than the 22 mil one.

You had to send it in for the DT turret? I am considering possibly doing that but I want to shoot it some first before making a final decision. Did you go to a DT just for the elevation or was it also how close the clicks were?

I had to send it in for the DT. I did it because the clicks were too close for me with the 22 mil turret, and the extra elevation was a plus. If i had to choose between 15ST and 22, it would be a more dificult choice, although i probably will never use 15 mils of elevation, let alone 22 or 28.
