East Ridge Gun Company ????

Re: East Ridge Gun Company ????

I just shot my new 'Big Bertha' model East Ridge .50 last weekend for the first time. I am very happy with the purchase. It is a shellholder type action, which some people don't like but I prefer for the positive extraction. Plus it is the lowest entry cost complete rifle available with a 'match' barrel and chambering options other than the standard military chamber.

The State Arms/ERG rifles have a reputation for being accurate. I've only got 40 rounds down the pipe in poor shooting conditions, but it was showing sub moa potential(at 550 yards) with a starting load using the 750 Amax.

Will he have a chance to shoot the rifle before purchase? It should sell itself with good ammo. It would be worthwhile to load or buy some.

Re: East Ridge Gun Company ????

He should be able to shoot it. He is going Monday to meet up with the seller to negotiate. I think he has made up his mind that he wants it, (mostly because it is a .50 and that's it I assume) but he is smart about buying what he wants, as long as it meets his expectations.
Thanks for the reply oltmann.

Larry at State Arms is a great guy. The rifles are very accurate, and they have won many competitions in the .50 world. I love mine. Don't hesitate.

Re: East Ridge Gun Company ????

I have owned 2 State Arms .50 rifles one a used Rebel that Larry helped me out on with the original seller. I also ordered a NEW .50 shorty that I recieve this spring. I cant say enough good about him and his product. I think his rifles are the most beautiful .50's made, and the best deal around.
