Do I need any modifications to magazine feeding lips,and how may more rounds can I see over the 243 Winchester.When asking a gunsmith to chamber a 6xc vs. 6mm 22/250 is there a difference in case dimensions.

No, you won't need any modifications to the feed lips. By rounds do you mean round count as barrel life? Or rounds in the magazine? No more rounds will fit in the magazine, because the case diameter is the same in both cartridges. The barrel life could be a bit better COULD be a bit better.

The 6XC will feed in the stock AICS mags in the chassis when used with a .473" bolt face Remington action. It will also feed the 22-250 case with a 22 bullet or necked up to 6mm, but the body taper only allows you to put 7 rounds reliably in a 10 round mag. The 6XC with its straighter body taper will most likely do 10 rounds in a 10 round AICS mag.
