Between the EH1A and T6A, what would be the better of the two for a rifle that will be run as a precision trainer and hunting rifle? Both would have the Minichassis Gen 2, as well as the Elite Fill. Majority of the time it will be used on the range, then come hunting season it will be toted through the woods or used out of a stand/blind.

    Thoughts?

    EH1 for me too......

IMO the comb height is plenty generous, and I like a firm, tight cheek weld. I can run a SS 10x on a Badger 20 MOA rail and swap to a NF ATACR 5-25 on the same barreled action and not feel compromised even when prone.

Why do you recommend thr EH1 over the T6A?

The EH1A will be a little lighter and trimmer overall but gives up no features to the T6A IMO. I don't regret buying my T6A, it's a good stock but it's not all that light with mini chassis and adjustable cheekpiece, even with the elite tactical shell(roughly 4lbs). Non adjustable cheekpiece with mini chassis with be around a pound and a half lighter than a T6A. It's got plenty of height on the cheekpad if you want to use it bare or add a stock pack. If you want to stay around 10-11lbs that might be the ticket. If you can go 12-13lbs as the rifle is mostly for the range then the T6A is doable.

EH1 gets my vote as well, though partially because i just picked one up and love it. You'll want to stay away from an adjustable cheek piece to save on weight if it's for hunting. Or get a regular one and have LRI do their ULATCH if you really need the adjustment, as their ULATCH is 2.4oz..

Maybe it's just big hands or something, but I own both and really prefer the t6a and would rather have 2. The eh1 isn't bad, it's just slimmer everywhere and I don't like the fit as much. If it's more match and a little hunting, I'd do elite fill t6a. I ran a dual build for a while in the elite t6a and it was no problem for hunting. Now with a dedicated hunting rig with the eh1, it's not bad for that, but I'd regret it for a match.

bkw1911, that's exactly what it comes down to is grip size. Here are 2 pics of a MCST next to T6A, and T next to A3-5. Big hands likely prefer the T6, smaller likely prefer the EH1.
