By the time most folks in other countries (china, Turkey, Eastern Europe, Japan) are of the age most of these folks are, they're doing Calculus, Differential Equations, and most likely (not in my time, but today I can see it) Partial Differential Equations. We've (as a country) completely taken our focus off the ball, hell, it's not even in the peripheral.

I seriously doubt "most" of the kids in any of those countries are advanced. Most of them that are "in school" maybe. When we play numbers game with China, we have to remember they have about 1.2 billion more people than the U.S, and they don't send all their kids to school. Kids test to get into what we would consider "high schools." If we want to compare advanced classes, private schools, and GT programs, I am sure kids in the U.S are holding their own just fine.
I'll give you that. Many moons ago (decades even) a guy from China was getting his Ph.D. under the same advisor as I had. Somebody asked why they were all so smart and he laughed and said something like: because you only see the smart ones, the really smart ones, who are allowed to come here for study. Most Chinese are struggling just to be just above "moron" IQ. Simple facts as you say...1.2 BILLION people over our population.

Regarding the theory that someone was going around injecting people, what are the logistics of that scenario considering over a hundred people were affected? How much would need to be injected? How often would a syringe need to be reloaded? Wouldn't that be noticeable? How long until the effects were known? It sounded like people were collapsing at the same time.

Regarding the injection theory, which is has been confirmed valid in at least one case, the perpetrator(s) probably had multiple syringes, probably high potency. Remember a substantial amount of fentanyl coming from the border also has horse tranquilizer in it. As far as how quick of the effect - depends if injected into fat, muscle or directly into the blood stream with the later being almost immediate onset. If it were fat, and depending on the body site of injection - would take much longer (up to 20+ minutes).

I went to a David Alan Coe concert in N Louisiana about 78. 95 degrees , NO BEER sold , miserable. About the second song , someone heckled him and he jumped on top of him ....fight on , concert over

Naked gal in the tree, cops couldn't get her down, they played a few songs, something blew, maybe a fuse? The band bugged out, mosquitoes were bad so I hauled ass, went to town and got a room with some A/C! Complete shit show and shit trip! I could see security moving our way but all stopped suddenly and went back to thier posts.
He was still laughing.
Every year I stop by and shake his hand.
