Here's a little comforting advice for a couple of troubled members

lol @perkjock has an opinion that goes against the bears in the pit, so naturally it ruffles their matted hair and twists up their stained tighty whites. Bold move cotton, now the internet tough guys are coming out lol.

Seriously though, does no one see the problem with all of this? It’s literally what every enemy our nation has wants...and we’re proudly doing it for them free of charge while waving a victory flag high.

The “us vs them” shit has to stop, on both sides. Last night was a pure example of two petty fuckin children being exactly that. Afterwards everyone rushed to their media desks, interviews, and Facebook pages to post and contribute their meaningless opinions that serve as kindling to the cluster fuck divide that is growing.

Trump is a narcissistic asshole and knows that he can get away with it because it gets him attention. He could easily be beat, and definitely could have been beaten in 2016, if the Democrats would put forth a candidate that didn’t tell voters “you're going to eat this shit and you’re going to like it!” Despite me not liking him, he’s our president and I respect that. Unfortunately politicians across the aisle can’t just accept it and go back to doing what is best for their constituents. Think about it. What would he have as talking points at his rallies if Congress was actually out there working for the people and pushing for positive change.
If we ever expect to see a positive change in our political system, we need to start by enacting term limits for congressional members, remove the ability for corporations/businesses/non-individuals to donate to campaigns (NO ENTITY should be able to “buy” politicians AKA legislation), and restrict campaign contributions to $1,000 or less per registered voter, per candidate, per election cycle. If you want politicians to actually start to listen to what the voting public wants, you need take money out of the equation. For the people, not the corporations.

Lastly, if you live in a state lead by a party that you don’t politically agree with, run for office (at any level) and try to be the change you want to see. ...except California. It’s too late for y’all lol. We need to unhook the car and let y’all go out to sea ??

If we ever expect to see a positive change in our political system, we need to start by enacting term limits for congressional members, remove the ability for corporations/businesses/non-individuals to donate to campaigns (NO ENTITY should be able to “buy” politicians AKA legislation), and restrict campaign contributions to $1,000 or less per registered voter, per candidate, per election cycle. If you want politicians to actually start to listen to what the voting public wants, you need take money out of the equation. For the people, not the corporations.

Lastly, if you live in a state lead by a party that you don’t politically agree with, run for office (at any level) and try to be the change you want to see. ...except California. It’s too late for y’all lol. We need to unhook the car and let y’all go out to sea ??

That’s what my message implied, but nice copy/paste. The point I made was he could stop talking about the Democrats, focus on the country, what he’s doing for it, and give the opposing party nothing negative to attack with. Be the bigger child and smile while shaking the other child’s hand. Then it takes away their tit-for tat power. Instead of the take away yesterday being “oooo you see how trump denied her hand shake? Hell yea he got her good! Oh no she tore up the script/notes/talking points/schedule/after party rsvp list!” Instead it denies them the ability to have anything negative to say about his actions during the event. Sure they could argue their opinions about the state of the nation, but you can’t say shit about his actions. When CSPAN shows the uncut footage of how everyone acted, you just see one party composed and professional, and the other making faces and acting like children. Be the bigger person in the room. That’s all.

Dudes in China eating bat and drinking corona can catch the news (with a VPN lol) just as fast as anti-vaxxer Karen in Cali. Anyone in that position wouldn’t be able to win.

I think he enjoys the outrage because it fuels his base, which makes them eat out of his hand at rallies. That’s what he really gets off on. That just reaffirms his actions so there’s no reason to change. I believe he’ll win and I’m cool with that.

When he wins, the Democrats will cry collusion/rigged/whatever and would result in a loss of faith in the system (“how could someone like him be elected again?”).

If he loses, then he can just say that their witch-hunt and lies can’t be beaten because the swamp is too deep, which would erode trust in the system (“if they could take down a guy who wasn’t a politician and fought them 24/7 for 4 years, how could anyone beat them?”).

Or maybe I’m giving the voting masses too much credit because their attention span only comes once every four years. ??‍♀️

I think he enjoys the outrage because it fuels his base, which makes them eat out of his hand at rallies. That’s what he really gets off on. That just reaffirms his actions so there’s no reason to change. I believe he’ll win and I’m cool with that.

When he wins, the Democrats will cry collusion/rigged/whatever and would result in a loss of faith in the system (“how could someone like him be elected again?”).

If he loses, then he can just say that their witch-hunt and lies can’t be beaten because the swamp is too deep, which would erode trust in the system (“if they could take down a guy who wasn’t a politician and fought them 24/7 for 4 years, how could anyone beat them?”).

Or maybe I’m giving the voting masses too much credit because their attention span only comes once every four years. ??‍♀️

I do not doubt that he enjoys the outrage. I also agree it energizes his base. But that is a surface observation. How about discussing the reasons why those 2 things are true? I could name a few but would be interested to hear your take...

It will not matter who wins. The losing side is going to cry foul and more investigations, more division, more BS, etc. I do not see that cycle ending anytime soon TBH. The next 10 years will be interesting.

This isn’t a multiple choice test that only gives you a set numbers of previously-used options to choose from. Being diplomatic doesn’t mean you have to be a whipping boy, but doing so will definitely open the possibility of getting what you want more than being a petty asshole. Diplomacy is an important tool that both sides are apparently clueless to. No shit though, Trump should be glad that the Democrats are doing what they are doing because they (Dems) are driving undecided voters to him.

I’m not outraged at trump man. Yes, I said he’s an idiot that acts like a child, but that’s not the basis of my frustration (“outrage”). It’s the fact that these are the people who are supposed to be running the country and working for the people who elected them. However the people let their party bias consume them and they feed into it all...and social media makes it too easy to “be outraged” while actually not doing anything to change their outrage. ...because no one gives a shit after the season is over.

People care and know more about their sports teams than they know about the local lawmakers that actually effect their day to day lives.

No outrage or ill will, just an opinion that differs from the more vocal ones here.?

Without knowing him or working with him, all of our observations are just surface level assumptions/opinions.

Personally I think it stems from his previous business stance and how he’s an internationally well known and recognized businessman. His personality, based on the statements he makes, is that of a narcissist. Watching him interact with other world leaders also lends to this. Like we get it dude, you’re the US President, you don’t have to do power moves with other allied nation leaders. But he thrives on the attention he gets from it. That’s just the way he is wired and has been solidified for years from the intricacies of his former career. Big swinging dick in at the table power moves. When he walks in a room, people notice and react. As president he gets that but then also gets standing ovations and millions of mentions online. Good or bad, it doesn’t matter. Same reason why online trolls love and feed on positive and negative feedback. Hell, even schoolyard bullies thrive more on hate/fear than the opposite.

The base loved him from the start for the fact that he wasn’t “a politician” (even though as an international businessman, you most definitely are) and that he wasn’t part of the same bullshit that they keep getting fed. So when he says “fuck” or calls out people (which was especially awesome when he called out candidates for taking contributions from him in the past), the voters love it cause it’s a sign of him not being restrained by the system. He’s definitely gone against the grain and they feed

We all know that the whole “this is how we’ve always done it” is super toxic to any environment. The voters loved that he broke that rhythm but there’s a thing called moderation. If he keeps going to the extreme just to get them riled up, it’s going to ensure that once he’s out (be it this term or the next) that many voters think twice before trying something new.

I could be wrong, but that’s just my opinion.

A dude above pasted a long list of things Trump has done since in office. ...imagine how much more could have been done if he broke the mold and was like “hey, let’s stop this bickering and do what’s best for the people. Let’s sit down and work together for the ones who put us here. We have our differences but let’s pledge to put them aside and make some real change, as citizens of the UNITED States of America.” Dude if he did that in an official statement to congress, and not in a Tweet, then actually followed through with it, it would put all of that pressure on the Dems and force their hand. sure, you’d have the extremist minority (as in numbers) take to twitter but I think it might appeal to many voters on the left that weren’t hardcore left (which most arent, despite what social media says).

Dude I agree with ya man, no matter who wins, someone is going to bitch and cry. It is definitely going to be a crazy 10 years (if not 16). Seeing the ripples that this shake up has created along with the increased state legislation regarding firearms.

For others who read this, or anything else I’ve posted, and get upset, just remember that you can disagree with how the president acts but also be glad that he’s president over other candidates. No one should want to live in an echo chamber

I know man, but that’s just a specific image taken at a specific point in time. Nothing lasts forever, yet everything is cyclical. They’ll keep doing it until it’s no longer sustainable, it will collapse in on them, they’ll change, then it will cycle back to how it is now.

We can either cheer the chaos or we can be proactive and demand better from those who hold office. If they don’t listen to the people then the people need to elect those that will.

You know...some people will resist "progress" and need to be dragged along "for their own good" and of course "cling to bibles and guns". You know...progress. And of course the pseudo intellectual elite know whats best for you, right?

People really do think Trump speaks for them. And they approve of him delivering their message "by any means necessary", (hmm heard that term before somewhere) even if it hurts some feelings along the way.
