Gunsmithing Electric smoker for cerakote

Has anyone used one to cure cerakote? If so did it work well?

Yep I have been using a Cajun electric for 3 years now. Heats to 275 with a thermostat and timer. Put parts in set time and forget about it. It can fit 20" AR barrels but is to short for longer barreled actions. I made a tall one out of a stack on gun safe for long stuff. Everything else's goes in my smoking oven. It's the cats azz for $235 on Amazon.

I used a milwakee heat gun, brick and old POS sheet metal "safe". Drilled a hole in the bottom and shoved the heat gun in there. Thermometer on the top. Worked great. I left it in my yard. In cold weather I had a rigid fiberglas shroud I slid over it to keep the heat regulated.

It worked well at the time and helped get me into building stuff.

I think I'm going with a 36" smoker so I can get most barreled actions in there......Hopefully

Hmmm what if you've used the smoker to cook before? I have one now, might be able to have it as dual purpose lol.

The Applewood smoked Burnt Bronze is great and for FDE I would go with Hickory and for OD Green Alder works well... Use Mesquite for camo.
