Any ideas on how to get a clip-on night sight mounted on a Ruger 10/22 with a Boyd's Tacticool stock? Yes I'm trying to go cheap. The correct way would be to upgrade to a better stock and get a Badger Ordnance EFR bedded into it. Just can't justify spending that kind of money on a 22.

What about drilling/tapping a short length of rail onto the bull barrel. I'm not trying to create a target rifle just a plinker and practice rifle for my "real" rifles. You think the screws would hold?

Other ideas?

Nice rifle.

I've got a Ruger SR22 in addition to my regular 10/22. The SR make mounting the sight easy, just was really hoping to keep the clean lines of the Boyd's stock. But the answer may be to either use the SR, a stock like your or just pony up and get a Badger Ordnance EFR.
