Eotech clipir Lr

I’ll open with.. I’m naturally bias because I sell them.

To answer your question specifically, the zoom range is up to 12x, and the POI as per the manufacturer is 1 moa which was validated in my testing.

What else are you interested in?

Is the clarity still there at 10-12x or is pixelating? I have tried a few different clip ons but even a 5x they where not very clear. And is that 1 moa from gun to gun or did you only test on the one? Thank you

On the clarity front, the ClipIR-LR can be edged up to 12x. Beyond that and you will start to pixelate, but it's still usable. I'd say you're not worse off by magnifying, but you're not better off either. You're basically limited to the same set of pixel and wha they project; it's not a washed out image with more magnification.

POA/POI tested across multiple guns, bolts and gassers. I generally will take 3 guns to test collimation: 1x rimfire, 2x centerfire. They POA/POI is effectively the same across all rifles. I've even measured canted optics and height-over-optical center differences and had zero ill effects.

I got mine from SOK (SkyScrapin). 300 yards is a put for these. They aren’t perfect, or magic, or anything like that, but they are capable WELL past 300 on coyote sized targets (which means significantly further on hogs, redcoats, etc.)

Regarding POI shift, my first shot was 120 something yards on a gopher, and it was a hit… (about 3/4” lower than I was aiming). That’s obviously well within rifle/ammo/redneck margin of error.

Thats with the LR? I've read somebody claiming 700-800 is do-able with these but what is your experience? Between the LR and ELR now.

I haven’t used the LR, but if you have experience with the UTC-X/Xii, then you’ll love the ELR.

The Voodoo-M is worthy of consideration as well. It’s a little more cabbage, but worth the price premium, IMO.

Even the EOTECH MR is very good up to 8x. I had no problems picking off small rodents at 200+ yards with just the MR and a LPVO. If you are worried about getting passed 5x on the LR...you shouldn't be.
