I have a ddm4v7 pi

stol with a qd LaRue eotech riser on it, I can't go back farther because I'm not willing to remove the 3x I have and if it nice that back even one more slot I won't have a clear shot at my charging handle. The dq part is on the reciever the other part is 2 pics onto the hand guard. I'm being it will hold zero but am asking for opinions. I'll be reading by zero and throwing it around a bit too see if it moves

You don't need to have a riser to mount and align with your magnifier, in your setup the LaRue "riser" is vacant, i.e. useless and is also sucking up picatinny real estate between the optic & Magnifier. Mount the Eotech
straight to the rail with / without the Eotech QD option. I only have few setups with / without Eotech QD mounting; the
KAC 9.5" .300 BO has a LaRue riser that is also vacant but the extra 1/4"
mounting height of the QD mount made for a quicker sight
picture acquisition for me. The LaRue mount-Eotech connection will not be determinant of return-to-zero with your tailgate scenario, the EOtech software is / will always be the weak link in the chain.

I am waiting on an exps3-0 so I can lose the riser, I'll have to test it out tonight but I feel the extra height with the riser is a deal breaker but will test both ways I appreciate it
