Rifle Scopes Eotech Vudu 1-6 SR1 vs Vortex 1-6 Razor for 16” 300 Blackout? Anyone have any experience behind either of the two. TKs

One is FFP, the other SFP, so there is your biggest decision. The SR1 reticle is my least favorite, and I have been behind them all. Would choose SR2/SR3 for your application in the Vudu. The Vortex is daylight bright, the Vudu is not, but the Vudu has a better CQB reticle at 1x. The Vudu is not locked or capped, the Vortex is capped. Glass quality is excellent on both, but Eyebox is a bit less picky on the Razor with slightly less tunneling because it is SFP. As far as FFP LPVO's go, the Vudu has one of the best eyeboxes around with very little tunneling. Just depend on what you want.

On my .300 blackout SBR, I have a Kahles 1-6 which is one of the best, if not the best, of 1-6 scopes. I also have looked through the Vudu and Razor.

I recently built a .223 SBR and was looking for another 1-6 for that rifle. On Ilya's recommendation from this site, I bought the Hawke Sport Optics Frontier 30 1-6 on eBay for around $500 brand new. I am impressed!! It compares very favorably with the Kahles 1-6 at almost one-fourth the price. True 1x with almost no distortion, superb reticle, generous eye relief, "daylight bright," and glass quality that far exceeds its price.

While I probably will keep the Kahles, I have thought seriously about selling it, buying another Hawke, and saving the difference. The Hawke is that good!

My .300BLK wears a Kahles 3GR as well. I absolutely love it.

Interesting, i figured the eotech sr1 reticle would be go to, for that application.
You will find the center dot is crowded, so while smaller than the SR2/3, its doesn't play that way. Also the hashes are of consistent size and too closely spaced, it makes it not very good to distinguish quickly. I thought the same thing you did and went from SR3 to SR1 and right back to SR3.
