Having spent a lot of time motorcycling there over the past decade... I don't think it's gone. But I think it's teetering on the edge.
There are a lot of Europeans who are downright pissed off at what is happening to their countries/continent. But they are cowed by an angry, screaming, leftist, globalist minority... that accuses anyone with any national pride of being a Nazi. In addition, a lot of the 'motivation and gumption' has simply been 'killed out' of Europeans for a couple hundred years.
Emigration of millions of those who were motivated to find a better life in America, Australia, Africa... sapped Europe of its adventurers. WW1 sapped it of those motivated to fight. WW2 killed off an entire generation of anyone who might be willing to resist/fight/go to war against an enemy. Communism in the East hammered any nail that stuck up. The entire Continent is now genetically without much ability to stand up for anything.
Whereas here in the U.S. of A. we have the descendants of those who wanted a better life and were willing to risk everything for it.
Right now, we have a minority of idiots who are in office and screaming on the streets. They are not the 99 percent. They are the .001 percent of communist revolutionaries, who shout so loud that they sound like the 99 percent.
Europe... has a larger percentage of commies, radical muslims, losers, lazies...
But when you motorcycle places, you meet everyone. You get to see the small towns. You talk to people at gas stations, cafe's campgrounds, pubs and bierhall's...
I have faith that Europe is not gone. But it is teetering on the ragged edge. If its people get all fired up again (without being accused of being National Socialists just because they care about their nations, continent and heritage) then they will come into another Renaissance.
But, they could also end up as a giant caliphate. Their decision. Socialist Danes... probably are cheering on the Caliphate. There ya go!
Cheers,
Sirhr
