Any WWII historians that could help me out? I have a Evasion and escape manual from the United States Pacific Fleet and Pacific oceans areas. It is marked Secret and the the date January 30 1945. Manual contains maps, eye witness accounts of capture and captured Japanese interrogation. Plus alot of information about shipping lanes and aircraft.
Is this manual something I should pass on to the right collector, Ive had it for awhile but I'm heading back to the Hawaiian island and afraid the climate might take its toll on it? Is this manual rare? valuable?
Thanks for any information.

Re: Evasion and Escape Manual

Whoa!! Definately rare, and I would contact a documents specialists for proper storage conditions.

I would also have it appraised, and though I doubt that it is cheap, if no one wants it, consider donating it to a museum.

Cool stuff!

Pritzker Military Library </div></div> That or the National Archives. They might not even have a copy. Definitely sounds interesting!
