You'd think that wouldn't cha? I lived and worked up there for a winter season and found the everyday Alaskan to be about the best representation of a rugged individualist you could hope for. I still refer to AK as "what America used to be". Before Discovery, A&E, and god knows who else turned it into the getaway for Portland, the men I worked with in Alaska were no shit bad ass WORKERS. Last straws refers to a personal judgement about whether or not baiting trolls is beneath us here. There comes a point where I think we've stepped over the line between appropriate and just plain despicable. I think this topic crosses that line.
You might understand my words better when I admit that I have a very weak sense of humor. I take things seriously way too much of the time. Always have, and by this late date, not much point in changing now. Let's just a-say that subtlety is not my forte.

Blood boiling refers to a very real BP scare I got Sunday Night. I had to take emergency meds to get it back down under control. Consider 190/88 when 104/52 is the norm. To me, that is abject terror.
I get upset when folks blame me for not doing enough to stop the bad in the world. I do everything i legitimately can and It REALLY galls me when it just ain't enough for some folks. This explanation deals directly with such comments as stated above. Controversy was probably a bad word choice, maybe feeding frenzy would be a better one. Either way, we debase ourselves and this site by joining in.
As for my being upset, it was probably Maggot's constant simplistic prattle in favor of all things inappropriate in another topic that tipped me over the top today. I have posted in that other topic on that, way over the top and way too wordy, but still, every word there is heartfelt. So no it wasn't you, or just you, that flipped my Bic.
I guess I'm just having a bad few days.
I wasted an entire day yesterday, and one of my best friends' day, too, by getting us out on the road to a range about 50 miles away to sight in a bunch of guns, he's driving. We get there, the range gate is chained, a new sign with new days and hours is posted and we're there on the wrong day. Aw, crapola! I went back online and the website has no peep about the change. Dangitydangitydang. So halfway home, we turn around and head for Tombstone, to hoist a beer or two at The Legion. Dang, not open for another two hours. So we push on for Benson, to the VFW, which just reopened following renovations after a serious fire, They ARE open and whoops, they have draft beer. I haven't had a draft beer in a year plus. My tongue is hangin out, so OF COURSE I have a few (I'm tryin, they're 7oz glasses, but still...). I know this is a bad thing for me post MI, and I'm suddenly realizing Hey, Greg, you're right smack back on the road to last Sunday night. You do it to yourself, dummy
Been a roller coaster this week. At least I saved a trip to the white rooms by downing an additional Lasix when I made it home, but that's closing the door after the horse is missing.
So yeah, I get pissed off easier under the circumstances, and I end up being an ass. Apologies all around.

Though he dislikes me, Ive been around here long enough to know a bit about Greg. He has legitimate reasons for his occasional 'meltdowns'. He wrote a check. gubmint cashed it. Sometimes that can be tough. Even though I wasnt around the last couple days (Visiting with Sirh and Mcameron in Boston...more on that later) I learned a long time back to just be tolerant and wait for him to sort it out.
