    so cal
I helped a buddy put together an ar15. Its a 14.5" rainier upper(meaning we bought there barrel preassemble and i attached it to the upper receiver) that I put together with spikes lower reciever with Jp enterprises lpk. its got a Geiselle trigger and we have a huge problem. So I shot it and it is faling to feed a whole bunch. Then it failured to feed and i had to take the whole mag release/bullet button out to get the mag to come out. Some how the bolt catch is interfering with the BCG before feeding. We tried three different types of ammo that all worked good in my ar the same day. I also swapped my mags into the effected rifle with the same results.

    Any ideas

Was the Geisselle trigger installed correctly? If you THINK so, take it out anyway and reinstall it as per instructions. I seem to recall someone else having a similar problem and it was caused by a screw backing out a little.

I'm assuming that the barrel extension has M4 cuts, does the lower have the correct cuts as well?

Have you tried this upper on another lower that has had no issues? Sometimes that will help to isolate problems.

Could be short stroking as well which would cause a FTF. I would say put in one round and see if the bolt locks back on the empty mag.

eta: what kind of ammo are you using?

+1, good advice, waiting for a response after you try that?

first off I eliminated ammo as the probable cause by running three different types in the busted rifle. all had the same issues. Then I fired the same ammo in another rifle without issue. I also tested the mags that way. So here is where i am at: tonight i put one round in the mag pull the CH and it chambered. I pulled on the CH it ejects and locks open as supposed to. Then i put rounds in the mag and run the same test, the first one chambers and ejects then feeds the second round. So i pull on the ch again and its seems jammed i pulled the mag out and still it wont open i split the upper and lower and pull really hard and finally it comes out. the round now has a very disctint scratch done the side of it
