So, does anybody know why their revised leveling base isn’t listed on the SOAR section of the website anymore?

It was listed but in some severe cases that I couldn’t replicate consistently it would make a harsh noise. So I stopped selling them until it gets revised and can not happen to the extent. It was under real harsh testing. But I can’t say for sure anyone would use it like that.

Why such the hate for Leofoto tripods? I understand they are made in China which might turn some guys off but they are not a blatant rip-off like the fake Atlas bipods. As far as I can tell they cater to the photography market and someone decided they would be a good affordable cross over option a few years back just like Gitzo was an option.

Saying they are a ripoff seems a stretch. Yes the bowl size is the same but the RRS head will not lock into the Leofoto because the lock is in the wrong position. I’ve beat the crap out of my Leo for 2 1/2 years and it’s been a great. Definitely not a bad option for the price.

I think RRS is a great company and will absolutely own a RRS Anvil because of the size and weight eventually.

Yep that’s definitely a ripoff and some bs. I was unaware of these new product releases and don’t support that at all.
