Rifle Scopes Experience with any of these scopes?

I'm going to be putting together a 308 bolt gun and have my mind made up on most of the parts except the scope. I plan on doing most of my shooting 600 yards and in, but hope to make that 1k shot one of these days. The things I wanted most are mil/mil and FFP. I've been doing a lot of homework and have narrowed it down to the 2 below:

HDMR g2
viper PST

Pluses and minuses of each (personal opinion, from what I have read mostly):

HDMR G2
+ absolutely love the reticle
+ lockable turrets
+ decent glass
+- middle of the road on my price budget
- no zero stop (although I feel that I wouldn't necessarily need it with the reticle.)
- non illuminated (although I would rarely use it)
- customer service is a joke from what I have read

Viper PST
+ zero stop
+ price ($300 cheaper than the HDMR which would allow for a nice base and rings right away)
+ illuminated reticle (it's nice that it's there)
+ Stellar customer service
- the reticle is okay and will definitely get the job done, but I like the G2 better

Experience with any of the scopes above would be very valuable.

Anybody have a good review here on the hide over the HDMR? I've found tons on the PST. I'm leaning towards the HDMR but don't want to have to deal with their customer service. For those that have them, do them seem to built well?

I've watched both of those vids. And the scope seems to do very well. I was just wondering if hide members had any input. I didn't realize one of the vids was done by a hide member.

I have a hdmr g2 on one of my rifles.

Love the reticle
Cant really use anything above 15x once the barrel gets warmed up
Tracks great
Has tons of internal adjustment

I think its a great scope for the money. Ive used it out to 2400yds with at 15x, but it sure would be nice to be able to turn it all the way up.

A buddie of mine has both. they work equaly good, and are very clear.
