Hey all. I've been experimenting with lots of different triggers for my match AR. Despite the whole world loving them, I wasn't a fan of any of the Geiselles I tried.

I currently have a Jewell- I love the fact that I can so easily adjust the first stage, but it's a little uneven through that first stage.

I've always eyed the Rock River, but remember reading somewhere that they degrade or have problems over time.

So, looking to hear any experiences with them, especially from those of you who've had them for a while!

Had one on my AR, when I got in the larue lower that was supposed to be on that gun it got a geissele, there is no comparision, the RRA pales in comparison.

Great. I wish I were a betting man. I'd make bets with anyone I could find that if I ever post a question on a forum to the tune of "I have a question about A. I explicitly do not care about B." The first response will be "you should check out B."

How have people who have had RRA 2 stage triggers found them to perform over time?

well that would kind of make sense if the geissele costs so much more........it better be better than the RRA.
i'd hope so anyhow to make it worth it.
I was just wondering what trigger to put in my new DPMS AR10 since the stock trigger sucks ass.

Where is the best place to get the RRA trigger at?

Eh, the point was if he has experiences with and didnt like the geissele he probably wont like the RRA, same gun, same trigger weight the only difference is pull length and how clean they are.

I fail to see how comparing the item you are asking about but have no experience with to one you had a definitive reaction to is bad.

anyway, I bought mine as part of a complete lower parts kit, you can find those a good number of place.

As for the other question, no I didnt have any issues with it doing anything other than dropping the hammer at the correct time.

Fair enough. I should have qualified why I disliked the Geiselle.

I purchased all three models and found all three to vary from pull to pull. I like a very light trigger, and around the breaking point I like none of the three would hold consistency.

But, let's not turn this into a Geiselle thread. More RRA experiences, please! Thanks!

All my AR15/10 have the RRA NM2 on. Very nice trigger for the price.
Where to get them? You probably need to use your Google Foo to find the dealer with the best price that has them in stock.

I have a RRA two stage on my RRA AR-15. I haven't adjusted it at all and it remains completely stock. I've put 2,000 rounds or so down the gun and as well as several hundred more dry fires. It continues to work as well as the day I bought it. I can post pictures later if ya want.

I've got a good amount of time on the RRA, Geiselle, Jewell and a few others.

Yes, the RRA will wear in over the first 500 or so rounds. Mine took some touching up at that point. But after that it's been stable for thousands of rounds/dry fires. As a Service Rifle competitor, it's scaled all the time and hasn't failed to make weight yet. I'm probably a bit more picky about my triggers than most and this trigger passes muster easily. The key is to have someone that knows triggers tune yours up in the pre and post stages.

I suspect with your Geiselle's you might be too light on the second stage, or too narrow on the engagement. My suggestion would be to contact Bill Geiselle direct and have him work with you on getting it set up to your satisfaction. He is extremely responsive to customers with problems (large and small) and has been known to respond within minutes via e-mail(I'm betting he has a Blackberry.

The Jewell is one of my least favorite 2stage match triggers because it was always inconsistent from pull to pull. My theory was sloppy tolerances.

If you're after that razor's edge, light weight 2nd stage and are willing to live with the risks of pulling through the 1st/2nd stage stop, having a triggerman like John Holliger set up a KAC trigger might do the trick. It did for David Tubb when he was shooting the SR25.

I have two. One is stock in an otherwise stock Colt h-bar. It took a short "break in" period, now I like it a lot. The other is one I had John Holliger tune up and I use it in a "Service Rifle" AR. It is approximately 4 years old and has never failed to make weight. It replaced a Jewell. I liked the Jewell, but I like the RRA better. For me it is crisper. As far as availability goes you probably know RRA sells them directly, and about the others already noted.

From my experience if you do not like the Geissele you will not like the RRA match trigger nor the KAC match trigger. When I installed a Geissele trigger in my AR it was a noticable improvement. If you do a search there was a link to the various triggers comparing them all. This may be good info for your research.

I've got 3 of the RRA triggers in rifles that before that had the Bushmaster 2 stage. I find the RRA triggers to be excellent - for the money spent, they are performers. I liked the Bushmaster quite a bit as well....until two broke.

I run the RRA two stage trigger in all my AR's, no complaints/issues with it and for me I find it consistent,it is good as long as you do not mind a two stage.

I have an Armalite 2 stage and an RRA, The armalite isn't as smooth but breaks a
little crisper. It is factory tuned and the RRA is home tuned so maybe that is the
difference. I like the RRA better as there is a harder stop when hitting the second
stage. Only have five hundred rounds through it so I can't speak for wear, however
after tuning it I can see nothing difficult about refitting it if needed.

I bought a RRA NM trigger from White Oak Precision. IT had been tuned to have 1st stage take up 3.5 lbs and 2nd stage 1 lb. That trigger is a clean and crisp as any other 4.5 NM AR trigger I have felt and it cost me $125. I understand that WOP doesn't tune and sell them anymore. I think thry might if you buy a complete rifle or a lower.

I have one in my personal AR; much better than the stock triggers on our guns at work, and so much so that a lot of the guys are replacing the triggers on their personal ARs with the RRA (can't monkey with the dept-issued ones). It's also seemed to be consistent from day one. I have no experience with Geiselles or Jewells...
