I despise Sako's in M700 type receivers. You ever sneeze a case, that thing is coming out and your face makes a great target. I know of two people lucky to still have eyeballs after finding that out.
By comparison, the M16 is much, much safer. Combined with dual ejectors it will punt the case back to the low trajectory (to clearance scope turrets) upon exit. Retained with a pin and longer, it'll tolerate a violent case rupture much, much better.
We install them and make them inhouse. Happy to help.

If my ptg bolt came with a sako extractor is it possible to have a m16 retrofitted in its place? Or is the sako a one way road and no going back on it?
We've never had to bevel anything. Just stab it and run it. Never seen a need to alter the oem ejector profile or the extractor. I made our extractors to run "assembly ready". We literally do nothing to them once they are back from heat treat.
I have never attempted to install an M16 style "over" a Sako. I don't have a whole lot of optimism. The spring and plunger hole on a Sako runs pretty deep. The OAL of our extractor is 1.250" measured from the nose of the bolt. If the pin hole runs deeper than that from the Sako, it would still be there. It might still work, but I don't know. The other part of this is that the Sako type often invades the head of the bolt where the "lug" feature bears under load. That would still be a gaping pocket/hole. No real good way to fill it back up. TIG welding might, but your really playing with fire getting a holt head that hot. Heat treatment being the concnern.
My gut says this would create bigger issues. You'd likely be better off selling that bolt and starting over.
10 business days or less. The "mini 16's" are out of stock right now. We ran a pile of them and they are out to heat treat. Soon as they get back, we'll be the same on them. Mini's are meant for .223" bolt face stuff.
The pictures of the extractors on your website appear to be beveled or angled or clipped or whatever the correct term is. Are those the extractors you use with dual ejectors?

Yes, there's only one type for the .480 and .545 bolt faces. We have them for RH/LH applications. I get what you mean now. The claw feature is altered slightly to help aid in a low ejection trajectory out of the port.
