Watch out for the Cadillac sandbaggers...

Yep the Cadillac Match went on as scheduled, Cool weather with with just enough wind to give you a 9 or worse if you did not keep watch on the wind flags. Looking at the score sheets of the f shooters only 4 of the F open shooters did not shoot an 8, and they shot a lot of 9's. All the F tr shooters shot at least one 8 or worse. So the wind did have an effect.
We had a total of 24 shooters on Sunday, not a bad turnout for Sept and there was also another 3x600 match down state. Two thirds of the shooters were F class, 9 F open and 7 F tr.
The alleged F tr Sandbagger came from the Midland club this time, Jim Dietlein of Dietlein Swaging Custom bullets,he won the Ftr match with a 587-22x. Bob Lorenz was second F tr with a 584-18X. Ok here is the shameless advert. both of us used Dietlein bullets.
Winner of F open was Bill Hammers with a score of 589-21X which included a 200-10X in the first match. Second in F open was Roger Franklin with a 581-14X.
"Marksman", from the Hide here, did fine in matches two and three his trigger failed in match one and he had to take a DNF for the first match.
After the match during the awards we enjoyed a homemade chili lunch, sort of a tradition now for our Sept. match. We also had ice cream and chocolate syrup to put out the belly fires from the chili.
The Cadillac NRA High Power season is over for 2011.
Hope to see some of you at the F Nationals next week.
Midland still has two 3x600's coming up one on the 24th of Sept and one on 29 Oct, a Boy Scout Charity match were the Boy Scouts will be doing the target Pulling.
