I've heard these aren't so bad. I'm gathering parts for a 6.5 CM AR10, and looking at this one as a not-super-expensive option. Anyone have first hand experience with these? What other options are there for an AR10 6.5 barrel?

FA by Criterion 6.5CM

I checked out Krieger, but $500+ for a chambered barrel seems like I'm paying for more than I really need. The gun should shoot better than I can, but diminishing returns, right?

P.S. Suggestions for a DPMS pattern Chromed or NiB BCG, and a bolt? Rainier Arms has a nice one, I considered getting it all from them, but I don't see any 6.5CM barrels there

Re: FA by Criterion Barrels

I run the 20" NM Heavy Criterion by FA. Headspaced real tight with my Young BCG. After 50 rounds, and some load development, I have seen it shoot 0.25 MOA with another seasoned shooter behind the wheel at 100y. I have no formal training, not an excuse just the facts. I easily keep it under 0.5 MOA all day long in the right conditions. With my handloads, I can squeeze out a 0.25 if I'm in the zone. Was out with it yesterday...here's my best 5 shot group:

Where did you get the Young Chrome BCG? I can't seem to find contact info for them. Google only turns up some woodworking and metalworking shops going by Young Manufacturing, but no info on the guys who make the BCGs

Re: FA by Criterion Barrels

Im using a completer FA 6.5 creedmoore phantom upper, with a 24in criterion barrel. I am a new to AR's so my groups suck, but I can hit bowling pins at 600 yards with no problems. Last time to the range I put 5/5 bullets on a human bust steel plate at 300 yards.

Im shure the gun is way better then I am currently.
