Hello all,
A good friend of mine is interested in a precision rifle in .300 WSM caliber. I was wondering what factory/production rifles, if any, are chambered in this caliber, and if it makes more sense just to go the custom route.

I've found that FN makes the SPR-A5 in .300WSM, but is there anyone else out there? Not to say that the SPR isn't a fantastic rifle, just wondering what other options there might be.

Thanks in advance.

I can't tell you who makes a rifle in the 300wsm, but even though I'm pretty much new to this game, I have figured out that FOR ME, it is better to go the custom route. If I were starting over, I would keep an eye on the firearms for sale and buy one that I thought would suit me.
I have some factory rifles that by the time I get done with them, I might just as well bought something with a builders stamp on it. YMMV

Re: Factory 300 WSM Rifles?

I bought a Remington 700 SPS in .300 WSM and made some minor modifications (stock, trigger, etc.). It shoots the obligatory <1" @ 100 yards with handloads. I am currently working up a LR load for it now with 208 & 190 gr projectiles. Plently accurate for a non-custom build.

I had a savage bvss in 300wsm, awesome rifle. I had a brake installed and took it out of the laminate stock. I got rid of it because I didn't reload, and good 300wsm ammo was going over $3 a shot. Sold it to a guy in new mexico who varmint hunts with it and loves it. I am not sure if savage still offers a factory 300wsm, but you used to be able to find them at really good prices on gunbroker. I almost bought one a few months ago because I will be reloading this fall/winter, but ended up not bidding on it.

Thanks for all the input, guys. I think generally he's looking for something with a varmint/heavy profile barrel. So some of the Browning target guns look great, as well as the Winchester Coyote.
