I have the same lower, and I am going High, only because the lines with the high will be more seamless. I plan to keep my factory Ironsites, I am sure they will be difficult to use (too low) but they are back up anyways, so they do not have to be perfect.

To give everyone an idea how this will look like on a complete rifle, below is my XCR with ACR stock.

Are the irons usable with that setup?

You can use the factory iron sites, but it is not easy.. it works, just a little difficult, and they really only serve as backup. there is a low mount coming soon that will be great for irons. First run will just be the high mount.

high mount or low, you still will not be able to co-witness with a red dot and the factory iron sites.

If you want cowitness, an option would be the DSA Para Pictanny lower, and also DSA picatanny gas block, this will give the gun a more flowing look, and you can use the AR sites of your choice. Replacing the lower is easy, but replacing that gas block is a bitch, and should really be only done when you are getting a new barrel. Some guys are talking about grinding the ears off of the factory front site so they would not have do the gas block mod.

I should mention, that this project is not mine, it's from FALfile member Tbas. The gun above is Recon's gun, and he has a Falcon Arms Para lower (not DSA like I said above).

I am just grateful Tbass started this project and did the work, and I want to help him sell some units.
