Fargo/Grand Forks, ND- Ranges and PRS matches?

Got a buddy looking to move to Grand Forks and he wants to get into PRS/ELR shooting.

Any suggestions for ranges to belong to that have good long range facilities?
Are there any matches in the area?

Sure seems like there is a lot of space, not a lot of back-stops. Cold enough in winter for negative DA?

Have him join the MNPR (minnesota precision rifle)Facebook page as well as Northern Plains Precision. Those are where the local matches are posted for the region. The closest prs and prs style matches to him will be the ones hosted in mcville which myself and another guy from the area host (he is running a 2 day prs match the this summer). As far as ranges up there I'm not sure what's available. While it might seem wide open most of the land is privately owned. The majority of us make friends with land owners and shoot on their properties

Watch the MnPR facebook page for matches at Rush Lake Range in New York Mills, MN. They have an active rimfire series and do PRS matches a few times per year.

Yes, negative DA is not uncommon in winter.
