Just wondering.. with a hunting barrel, one can expect to shoot 3-10 rounds before you will have flyers.

Im just wondering how much more can you shoot with a heavy barrel, before the bullets starts flying of course??

For those shooting tactical competitions.. how many rounds do you have down your barrel before you let it cool down?

if you are hunting and fire more that 3 shots you're basically "shooting"

flyers? I beleve as well as the post above are shooter related.

With exception to maybe "cooking" a round in the chamber if it is hot.

If it's glowing, let it cool off.

Seriously though. I have yet to worry with a bolt gun. I have yet to see my rifle drop below 1 MOA even when the barrel is uncomfortably hot. Just don't let the rounds cook in the chamber for long.

One of these days I am actually going to do a non-scientific evaluation. Normally I am too worried about the training at hand to sweat the minutia.
