So a few months back the wife finally agreed to letting me take our son(Hunter age 7)out to the range for the first time.He had so much fun and he really did good for the first time out,i had him shooting my 223 rem 700(he shot about 50 rounds).I showed him how the rifle worked,how to operate it and what he had to do to make the weapon safe when he was done shooting.All in all was a great day.

James that's awesome. I dont have any kids yet but when I do they will be out shooting with me every time I go out.

That's great James. Those are memories that he will never forget. I'm 33 now and I still remember my dad taking me out and teaching me when I was right at his same age. Only difference was that I started out with a Ruger 10/22,that I still have to this day.

Good for you guys. My brother is 13 and I'm just getting him into things as well. He got is first bow for Christmas and his first firearm is in the near future. Congrats again on bringing another young person into this world...
