I love a really good gunsmithing article or post. I am pretty sure I’ve read every post on rifleshooter.com and I have also followed TincanBandit over the years. Anyone have any suggestions for other sites?
Would love to find a few other great ones to track.
eta: For a couple years before I started buying machines, every time I sat in my recliner and turned on the TV, I'd be on a laptop. I'd research one gunsmith at a time. I'd look up every post Chad Dixon ever made on Snipershide. Then, I'd search his name and any usernames he used, and find other forums he'd posted in. I would do my best to find every single sentence he ever posted online. I'd see how he progressed, learned, and changed methods. Then, I'd do the same thing to Terry Cross, then Robert Gradous, then William Roscoe, and so on. By the time I bought a lathe and mill, I had a really good idea on the different methods and the pros and cons.
I ended up liking it so much I left IT, went back to school, and now I'm designing equipment and machining in a tool room full time. Now that I'm building guns part time I rarely have time for the TV, so the laptop doesn't see nearly as much use!
