wind was tough to judge today, came out of 8:00, then changed to 4:00 off a berm about 1/3 of the way up range, and was variable. as discussed previously, this group is larger than last month's but scored higher on points rings, but lower on the "sim. gong".

Hey guys, I have some interesting info that I will put in a new thread. This is the killer RWS ammo that I tested a while ago. It is a blessing and a curse. If I clean the bore, it takes 25 shots to get seasoned... and this is whether I am switching ammo brands or not. Also, it doesn't shoot at 50. That's right... great at 100 and horrible at 50. I ran it on my chrony and have some interesting findings that I will share in another thread.

I think I count 20 X's. It may be 19. There are a bunch on the line. Some of them show clear burn marks on the line, some don't.

I shot this at the ranch, so it is 100 yards. I used my reticle to mark the distance. It just felt darned close. I had to move my shooting mat 3 times. I am buying a rangefinder, so hopefully, I will be more sure of distance going forward.

i'm seeing 19, if everyone else agrees the 5:00 shot is in the X ring.

whether it's 20, 19, or 18, it's still quite an amazing group, as you always seem to produce. congratulation on the 250.

The one at 5 o'clock is definitely in. A chunk of the white line is burned. It is the one at about 10 o'clock that is probably out. It looks in because an adjacent shot made a tear, but it is probably out. The shot at 8 o'clock is shaped oblong and actually tore the line, but it is definitely out. The one at 10:30 is close, but probably out. I need to buy a scoring marker for these.

I painted my 16" plate and gave it a 10" center. Wind was from 3:00 @ 5 mph, temp 28. My left knee was off the mat in the snow and it messed with my head until it lost feeling. I only shot 5 sighters and then repainted the center and shot for score. [img:center]

Let me try this again. Sorry about the repost of the image.Any way it was fun to shoot this distance, have not shot 300 yard RF in a few years. 60% and I was rushing it a bit... I'll take it. Next month I want 75% @ 300 yds. we'll see.

Well, I've been having a hard time trying to get out with the snow and all... hopefully next month.

Congrats to all who have posted so far; I see a lot of real nice targets.

I finally, partly, finished putting together the CZ 452 American I've been working on and I took it out last night to get what practice I could. I shot at the 100yd target but from a sitting position with a tall bi-pod. I found that I could use a lot more practice shooting like this, shooting prone is just so much easier...
This was a challenging but fun shoot.

I was shooting Blazer 40gr high velocity
Temps were mid 20's
Slight wind coming from behind angling to the right

I have tweaked my setup alittle and Iam happy with the results.
This week I played with torque settings (action screws) and moved my scope forword along with my handstop. My eye relief is better now when Iam all "slung in" my hand is numb by the end of the string but who cares when the score is good.

Thanks Top Predator, I have yet to score a perfect 250 whilst shooting with the sling. I will not give up though, someday the match gods will shine down on me. I have shot 4 perfect 200's
when practicing for LR high power (20 round cof) all in 2009.
Iam about ready for a "clean" ASAP would be nice.
