Joined to participate in the rimfire forum, mostly. Just got this rifle yesterday, put it together last night - DIP cheek rest, weight added to the butt to make it balance, rings and scope mounted, etc - and had to go out and shoot it today.

Went to the range twice.

Heck, I've got a pic of the rifle too:

Probably would have done better if I'd used the Fiochi M320, but I didn't test it until after I'd shot this target. It made a couple of bragging groups.

Re: FEBRUARY 2012 SH SHORT RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

Took the new toy to the range again.

Um, that 50yd Tactical Rimfire target ... is hard. REALLY hard.

I'm not even going to post my score. Just know that it was ... negative. A lot.

I also took the 4 psn target, and decided after the Tactical fiasco that I was not ready to step up to 50 yards today. Back was hurting, had a headache ... Maybe my blood sugar was low or something.
laugh.gif

The weather was very pleasant - in the sixties, sunny, very little wind - but the range was a bit crowded. Lots of people exercising the 2nd today.

Anyway, I shot the 4psn at 25yds, and brought up my self-worth again.

I can't remember, but if that doesn't count for anything because 25yds is reserved for iron sighted guns ... well, I'm fine with that. Just having fun, after all.

scoped, red dot, aperature, lazer, etc. is inclusive to 25yd too, then seperated into different groups depending on the sights.

this gives the 22lr MP5, AR, SCAR guys an oppurtunity to shoot 'em if they are setup with a CQB type of optic.

Almost, I had the incorrect match type listed. I shot this off a bench not prone, sorry. I went ahead and made the correction.

Cool! Thanks.

Maybe I'll have to try the tactical target from the bench next time around.

Catch you guys later.

Re: FEBRUARY 2012 SH SHORT RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

This is my first time attempting this. Not sure if it will be official since I only used one target. I went down range and scored and marked my holes each relay. Just figured I would at least post it as a learning experience. Thanks to the hide for helping me learn so much. So much expertise and talent on this forum.

Welcome to the rimfire comps BUNSEN, PROJECT PAT, GOTCOX, and SIXGUNNER455.

I swear once the weather breaks in most areas, and more shooters take to the range, this will get alot more interesting. But for now it's still a good warm up for the upcoming months which are getting closer on the horizon.

Re: FEBRUARY 2012 SH SHORT RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

Cool! This is fun, glad to be here.

Yeah, we have very pleasant winter weather here. Most ranges are busiest, I've noticed, in the winter, because it's not miserably hot and buggy.

I'll still go, just early in the day, and get home before it gets really hot.
