Hunting & Fishing federal fusions?

i was just given a 250 round case of 308 165gr federal fusions and want to burn through them on hogs as soon as possible

what kind of results have yall seen with this cheap stuff? got any pics?

No pics, but I have a friend that has been using them in a 7mm RM on caribou. I'm not sure why since he usually rolls his own. He seemed to be pleasantly surprised by the results he was getting. Reasonably good groups for factory ammo and rifle as well as meat.

Good accuracy, great performance on game so far. Very impressed for "cheap" ammo. Seen one hog shot at about 125 yards, shoulder shot, dead right there-never moved.

I bout 2 bxes of the reduced load 170gr to try out in my Rem 700 SPS Tactical, 20" bbl, 1:12" twist

Not a very small group. About3x to 4x as large as 165gr FGMM ammo

shot 2 boxes yesterday out of a savage 10fp cut to 20"...

best 5 shot group was .65.....worst was around .90

these things truly go to shit over 400 yards though lol

so i dont plan to take many shots past that pre determined 400yards

DocGKR (an authority on terminal ballistics) over on m4c has had good things to say about Federal Fusion 308 round as it pertained to its performance as a barrier blind self-defense round. If you use a 308 as an SD firearm and don't want to burn through your stash of Fusions, you might hold onto them.
