Anyone had any experience w/ Federal Gold Match ammo in a Sako TRG-42 .338 Lapua? I can handload, but don't have a desire to do so, if I can find the right alternative.

I have experience with the Sako TRG M10. GMM 338 300 SMKs performed pretty well accuracy-wise. (just sub-moa @ 100 yards) I used it to benchmark potential accuracy against reloads. I got better results reloading. Also GMM is not loaded very hot. If you want to stretch it out it is best to roll your own.

My brother has a .338 Lapua, but not a Sako. I posted a .416 MOA at 200 and .333 MOA at 400 with two different lots of Hornady factory with the 285gr. A-MAX. Granted it's pricey, but it would take a lot of work and components to equal that performance. Good glass and a sweet brake were big contributors.
