My rounds are tilting tip up just enough, that my bolt does not hit the back of it to push it into the chamber? This is on a factory .243? Any suggestions would be helpful? Thanks!

Sounds like a problem with the mag or mag well. Try pushing (putting pressure) on the rear of the mag in an upward direction. Cycle the bolt to see if a round gets pushed in while applying pressure. If it does, the mag is setting too low. You can try pushing it up (during a disassemble), or install another if you have one.

This is a swing down, factory floor plate. I have had alot of 700's in my time and I have never encountered this before? Thanks!

This is happening on my .223 SPS Varmint as well. Its like the nose of the bullet gets stuck on its way into the chamber.
OP, does your rifle eject okay? After firing and opening the bolt, I can pull the bolt about 1/3 of the way out before the empty cartridge falls off the extractor and lays on the floorplate.

I had an issue where the follower wasn't pushing the rear of the round high enough to catch the bolt. I just bent the spring so it would add more pressure to the rear and it seems to have fixed it.

Yes, this is whats happening!!! I will give this a try!!! I just really did not want to start bending things and modifying things without maybe seeing if others have had this same issue. I will bent the spring and see what happens. I guess the spring cannot be to expensive to replace if I JACK it up!!!

I purchased a milled follower and that didn't fix it. Cranked on the spring like DCR and now it's GTG.
