Looking at replacing a manfrotto 055cxpro4 ($400) with the mhxpro-bhq6 ballhead ($200) that got stolen along with our canon 80d (really bad day). The legs had a level built in (feisol does not). Do you miss having a level on the legs for leveling so you can use the panning feature built into ballheads? Is there another easier work around other than using a leveling base? Also looking at keeping this reasonably priced since I have to convince the wife. Wanting to get the feisol because I can use it for shooting later better than the manfrotto.

Canons do. What I'm talking about is the bottom of some ballheads allow panning. In the picture, the red part at the bottom stays still and you can unlock and rotate everything above it. Rrs, manfrotto, feisol, kirk, and other ballheads have this feature on a lot of models.
