Fenix 5x AB calculator

Just want to put this out there for people that might not know. If you have a Garmin Fenix 5x watch you can go into the app store and download an AB calculator right to your watch. It is pretty accurate and we have bounced it off a Kestrel Elite with AB out to 1200. The app is called "TruFlite". Super simple to use and best of all its FREE.

I got a Fenix 5x and can confirm I was able to match it to AB out to 1200. It was off by .1 occassionally over the 25 yard increments but it looked like a rounding error and came right back into line.

This app has me convinced it shouldn’t be a far step to have someone make one that would link to a BT range finder etc and have similar functionality to the AB setup in the Tactix Delta. The app works well, from what I can tell it mirrors my AB solutions all along the curve. If the dev would make it display a range card and a target card they’d really be on to something. If they added in link to range finders it would be amazing considering you can pick up a 5x plus sapphire for sub $400 these days. Be nice to have similar functionality to the Delta at nearly $1k less investment!

Maybe @THEIS could develop a garmin app for Genesis in all of his free time?

Haven’t used my truflite app in a while. Just realized it has been updated with some newer features and a pro version upgrade which includes aero jump, spin drift, (all the stuff I would turn off but if you’re in to that sort of thing…) as well as multiple profiles. Looks like you can still run it free if you don’t want those features.
