Range Report FGMM 168gr vs XM118 175gr for 700+ yards?

Thoughts? I'm taking a precision rifle class next month, and the instructor recommends 175gr ammo for better performance at longer ranges.

My choices (based on what is in stock at an affordable price) are 165gr Federal Gold Medal Match, 175gr Prvi Match, 175gr XM118, or Sellier & Bellot 180gr.

I've already ordered 2 boxes each of the FGMM and Prvi, but the other two come in 500 round packs, so I can't really test those out.

Thoughts?

Edit: I will be using this in the Remington 700 SPS Tactical 1:10 twist 20" barrel

I would think the 118 would be good. If not it should be easliy sold right here.

What rifle? Bolt or semi-auto?

Maybe try Copper Creek as well...good luck. Stick with the 175 for distance.

How far behind are you SWAmmo? My class is 3 weeks from tomorrow. I'd need at a minimum 240, up to 500 rounds if my friend decides to come along.

Also, any chance of a discount for the bulk purchases?

There was a post on here from a commercial account selling FGMM 175gr for $505/500 rounds from their website. I looked at it at work, and can't find it again! Anyone know what I'm referring to?

We have mini cases on the web store for a better price. If it were 5.56 I could not make it, but 308 we can. We are bringing in some temp help to catch up with behind orders.
