FGMM 30-06 175 smk

Several years ago I laid in a stock of this ammo, I'm out and cannot find any nor is it listed on Federals web site.
Does anyone have a line on this ammo, or a good substitute short of reloading ? thanks

They (being Federal) have continued the Gold Medal Match line-up for the .30-06, but ONLY with the 168gr SMKs to the best fo my knowledge. The 168gr loads will work well, but will limit your max range/terminal performance depending on what you need/want to do with them.

First and foremost, you should get in touch with Mike at SW Ammunition and see if he might be interested in offering .30-06 match loads with the 175gr SMKs. He has been very willing to offer new loads where there is a demand for them.

Second, as for alternatives, HSM makes a 175gr SMK load in .30-06. I have had consistency issues with HSM ammo in the past, but it might be worth giving them a try and see how they work for you.

Thanks, I was shooting them in a pair of <64 mod 70 targets, one set up in a sporter stock for my bean patch whitetail hammer, 'Carlos' it shoots Hornady lt.mag 165 interbonds very sub moa and now they too are discontinued. I'm gonna have to start reloading after a 30+ year hiatus. Ill try SW & Hunt shack.
