I hope this topic hasn't been run into the ground, but here is my 2 cents on the 6.8 SPC.
I farm, and the corn I'm planting has pretty much became the main ferrel hog food source.
Trying to be the best tacticool guru in the field I have been using an M4 chambered in 5.56, but have had marginal success with 1 shot kills, sometimes 3 or 4 shots to stop these suckers.
By hapenstance a good buy on a LWRC M6 in 6.8 opened up a new world of carnage for me. I've been loading 110gn sierrra pro-hunters, and these rounds have been wrecking the hogs I've encountered. At over 20 kills with this rifle all have been 1 shot kills. Some instances I actually felt sorry for the unfortunates.
In summary, I hope my experiences will help someone who is stuggling through all the AR platforms to make a wise decision.
    Thanks for your time!

Thanks for the report. For anyone interested, Barnes is now releasing a 95 grain TTSX. If you haven't shot this bullet, be sure to get some. you will never believe the killing power of the 6.8 with the 95 grain TTSX, versus any 5.56 round. It is not even a contest.

the 6.8 between the 6.5 grendel is always a matter of oppinion in my mind. i would say if you are looking for a hunting round that you can buy at academy then the 6.8 has it beat but for the range and if you relaod i would have to pick the grendel...

Thanks for the report. I bought a Kotonics upper about 2yrs ago for the expressed purpose of whacking hogs. Glad to see that you're having success as mine has yet to be bloodied.
