Will be my first finale so have some q’s for guys who are more in the know.

I emailed to ask about round count and never heard back. Assuming 200 but never hurts to check. Anyone know for sure?

How is squadding done, sign up, random, other?

What is the story on wind calls? 100% of matches I went to this year had teams or squads sharing wind on every stage off the line, but no corrections for the shooter. Things more strict at Finale?

Any other newb advice for things that might be diff than any other match?

ive heard 250 in passing convo's

How is squadding done, sign up, random, other?

the last 2 yrs, its been done #1 ranked - squad 1...#2 squad 2, #3 squad 3...and it rotates like that down the whole list so your squads usually end up with say 1st, 11th, 21st...etc

2 yrs ago they ran a pretty strict match...you had to carry all your gear thru each stage and then move on to the next stage once done shooting...couldnt go back and talk to your squad...of course some guys still did in some places, or talked to their buddy in the squad in front of them...last year most of our squad discussed wind prior to shooting the stage, but once shooting started, didnt really share much when guys came off the line

nothing out of the ordinary ive seen...of course each year have been different MDs and this year has a new MD, as well...so might be some surprises

Last i saw, round count was 200 for the match.

I heard 250, then saw 200 mentioned on FB. I'm just gonna bring 300 to be on the safe side.

On the wind sharing. No one will be giving you help on the clock. Since this is the finale, don’t be surprised if other people in your squad won’t help you at all. In my experience the top guys keep to themselves at the high level matches. Why help someone else potentially beat me? That’s the attitude. Try not to be offended by it. It’s just business for these guys.
