After sending hundreds of rounds down range at Thunder Valley with my Freedom Arms 44 mag with the Variable Gantry mount I finally hit the mile target. I kept adjusting the mount higher and higher and getting closer and closer with every shot. I had adjusted in 110moa on the mount and my scope was maxed out and I was holding above the target.
Each shot was getting closer but I had run out of things to hold on. Dale yelled hold on that hole in that cloud before it disappears, I centered the crosshairs on it and squeezed it off. Nearly 16 seconds later we heard the distant clang and the bullet bounce off onto the dirt in front of the target.
Clapping and back slapping all around with lots of "I can't believe it" in the background.
Then I woke up and realized it was April 1st...... what a bummer.
