Finally got all the stuff to mount my nxs on my 700. I got all badger shit. But on there site they say no loctite on the ring cap screws. Any idea why? Gonna lap the rings when I get home from work. Hope I can get a answer on this. Thanks

Me personally, I'd skip the lapping and use a small drop of medium stength(blue)loctite on the cap screws.

No loctite needed. I torque to 18 inch pounds. Never had a scope come loose.

Yeah I got the blue flavor. I guess it's because they list red and green on the instructions. I'm gonna use the blue it will come off if it needs to. I bedded the base to the action. I'm gonna look at a few things today and see if lapping is needed. I've got some plasti gauge that I'm gonna check coverage with.
