Rifle Scopes Finally got my nightforce mounted.

Switched from a Leupold Mark 4 10X40 M3 to a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22X56 that I bought from a friend of mine. Going to zero it today, the Leupold was fairly easy to use w/ the 1MOA knobs and BDC built into the turrets. I'll just have to get used to this one. It felt REAL heavy in my hands, but does not seem that heavy on the rifle. Here is a lil before and after pic.

Thanks, I just got back from the range, I sighted it in at 100 and I'm taking it out to a 1000 yd range tomorrow to stretch it's legs.

That is a very nice rifle and scope. Did you paint it or did your friend? I wouldn't have the balls to do that.

On a side note where do you go shoot at 1000 in the area?

It came this way, it's Cerakote and I feel like they did a pretty good job. I'm thinking of of getting the barrel and action done in FDE.

Not sure which reticle you got, but it looks like those are mil turrets, so I am guessing that you might have the MLR reticle. I think after using that a while you will come to like it better than the BDC you were shooting.

It's a NP-R1 reticle w/ 1/4 MOA knobs.

Not a fan of the triangle barrel, but the rifle looks like a beauty.
