Re: Finally got the Savage put together...

The scope is the TRS-1. So far I am happy with it. I would like to get out to Thunder Valley, I need a little practice first. So for now I will save the humiliation, however mark me down for some upcoming events. Just out of curiosity, What are the distances of the shots there? during the comp?

Here are the yardages at thunder valley, and as for saving your humiliation, Why? My first time was this past August never hit a thing. Had all the wrong set up for that kind of shooting. My last trip was a lot better but I had to go the first time to learn a few things. By the way the group of guys up there are very helpful. So I think you should give it a try, I know I will be there(shooting my savage).

Is that a new 10FP?? I haven't seen that stock before. I can tell it isn't an accustock, but it isn't the usual tupperware stock either. I like it!!

Re: Finally got the Savage put together...

No apologies necessary. Savage changes up their stuff quite often, so it is hard to keep up with everything. Just so you know, I was informed that it "IS" an accustock. So at this point, I stand corrected.

I also checked Savage's new website, and it shows the 10FP just as it is in the pictures. It states it has the Accustock, but doesn't have the new bolt release. Hmmmmmmm...

Now, if I could only get a new 10FP/Accustock/Detachable Magazine/20" Heavy... I would be in heaven!!
