Rifle Scopes Finally ordered a base & rings!!

Well, I have had my brand new Savage .308 and new Vortex Viper PST ffp sitting in my gun safe for over a month now. I finally got around to ordering a base for my rifle from Mike at CST. I went with the Badger 306-06SAT Sat S/A 20 MOA cant. Been so busy with work I have not had time to touch it. I also ordered a set of Badger 0.885 medium rings from Midway. I can't wait to get this thing up and running. I appreciate all of the help I have received from several of the members on this site. Thanks again guys

You're right, I went ahead and ordered the Badger Medium 0.885 30mm rings through Midway just now. They look like good rings and they have positive reviews from what I have read. Thanks for the input!

I ended up finding a Caldwell brand 6"-9" adjustable swivel bi-pod for approximately 45% less than the Harris model. I did some investigating and found some positive feedback regarding the Caldwell brand bi-pods so I went ahead and ordered one. I hope it ends up working for me?

I tried the Caldwell at first for the same reasons. It did not take long to see why it was $15. I ended up giving it to a buddy and bought me a Harris.

The Caldwell I got was $64, compared to the $106 Harris. I can't justify spending that much on a bi-pod right now. I have a friend who has a Caldwell and he said it works well for him! I have read negative feedback from people about Harris and I've seen negative feedback about Atlas. I thinks it boils down to personal preference in the end?
