Man what a hunt. Ive been watching this guy all year. He was super clever and reluctant to come out in the daylight. I decided to take a shot and sprayed some doe in estrus spray. He showed up with in 30 minutes. My arrow passed through his right shoulder, blew his heart out , deflected off a rib which broke and exited out his upper back. He ran about 40 yards and jumped in the damn river. He made so much noise i thought for sure he crossed to the opposing bank. I looked and looked but couldnt find him, finally out of my peripheral vision i spotted an antler sticking out of the water. He was incrediby heavy. Lost a good bit of meat due to the damage but man, what a deer.
