Hunting & Fishing First Blood with Savage

My Savage FCP has drawed its first blood today. I saw this
16 1/2" 8pt. buck come out to check some does. Ranged it at 474 yds. and sent the 168 A-Max. Not my best buck but this is so far my longest shot on a deer. I couldn't have been happier with the shot placement(you can make out the entrance behind the shoulder), he made it about 20 yards and went down.

Awesome. Did you have a drop table handy? How much elevation did you use?

I don't leave home w/out my dope book. I worked all spring and summer putting it together out to a 1000. I am not the best at mils and moa, thats why it took me so long to work out the dope tables I guess.
9.5 moa is what I figured today and venisons on the ground so I guess my hillbilly logic worked afterall.
