Gunsmithing First build done!

Rem 700 LA, trued up, threads recut to 1.0725-16. Shilen 1:10 twist barrel chambered in 30-06, 24" long. Threaded for an AAC suppressor mount brake. B&C A2 stock. APA DBM. PTG .250" recoil lug. Leupold VX3 4.5-14x (had it lying around... will get a scope with turrets at some point)

All that's left is a bolt knob. I threaded the handle 5/16-18, and ordered a badger knob, and when the knob showed up, it was threaded 5/16-24. Doh! I'll just have to make a custom knob I guess

Tomorrow I'm gonna take it to the range and see how it does!

All at 100yd. Not too bad for its first day out... a lot of the wide groups are me sucking more than anything else.

I initially started out shooting a bunch of M2 ball that I brought, and it didn't group well at all... 1.5-2" minimum at 100yd. Then I started shooting some handloads that I brought, 54.0gr H414 behind 175gr SMK, and they got much tighter. No load development at all, just picked a reasonable load and went with it.
